top of the word?

Back in Kulturhuset again.
The highlight of this awkward building
is the City Theatre Stadsteatern.
Here's a view from the top of the escalator outside Stora Scenen.

Lång trappas färd mot teater, sämre kan man ha det

So is this a cultural center with a theater for plays and musical hall for the orchestra, that sort of thing? How large is it? It looks huge!

Per, thanks for visiting Villigen.

Not that huge but yep, a cultural center built in the early seventies. Theater (several scenes), library, cafes, space for galleries and various exhibitions. No music hall however, the Concert Hall is five minutes' walk away.

Hey Per,

How have I never seen your site before? I must be dim! GReat shots, I love the vivid Nordic dusk skies.

I grew up in Scotland and skies are similar. I loved Stockholm when I visited a few years ago - the Lidmar Hotel (If I remember) was very cool. Had a fantastic time in your coolest of cool cties.

All the best,

Bluey!

Hej,

Fin fotoblogg!
Jag gick med idag, så nu är vi tre i Sverige tror jag!

Thanks Bluey. Actually the cool city is rather cold this week but with sufficient clothing its manageable. Except of course for those without a roof over their heads. Their numbers are growing in Stockholm like in many places.

Yes, I'm a sucker for sky shots of all kinds... Maybe we should introduce a "sky theme" at CDPB one of these days.

Hej Fredrik. Kul att Haninge och vi får lite nationell förstärkning. Närmast väntar vi på Göteborg.

Good to see a Stockholm DP back again. I enjoyed a brief visit last June -- see my pics of Stockholm on http://baltic2006.blogspot.com/ -- if I've mis-described anything please let me know.

Thanks Gerald and thanks everyone really for such a warm welcome. Feels good to be part of this growing community.

I'll remember taking a look at your pics, Gerald.
