Very neatly done! at least this part. It's good that the ship is still there an not under the sea, or?
They found another fiasco colossale at Dalarö a few years ago. It was made public last year. Said to be unique. Picture here.
I really enjoyed my visit to the Vasa Museum. So what if it sank so unceremoniously? It makes a cracking story ;-)
It's a great gift to this generation of course, Gizelle, that the ship was brought to the surface. It's also a big gamble. Vasa was surprisingly well preserved at the bottom of the sea and now we must take care of the preservation.
Steffe: Interesting link, this entire region is a giant history book for anyone who cares to read it.
Tinsie: It is a remarkable story and a tragic one as well. I have no idea how many of the crew were saved but I imagine procedures for sea rescue weren't all too sophisticated in those days.
