time lines

A subway platform can be a lengthy history lesson. Here's a close-up of time lines guiding the commuter through many centuries.

everything's in pastel hues. ^0^
it almost looks like color pencils from afar. ^0^

Like colour pencils. You're right, I didn't think of that. Some day, somewhere I'll give you the bigger picture. This station used to be a gem before the advent of dirt, water and vandals.

Thanks, arabesque.

I haven't though of colour pencils either but that's clever! It's a very nice detail shot, 'pencil or not'! :-)

Very interesting! A history lesson on the rails. :)

This is unusual, useful and very appealing!

School by subway?

Re your comment on Cedar Key: The catch fish. ;-) I dunno, but suppose redfish, dolphin, snapper, snook, grouper, etc.

Leveraging the length of a platform for illustrating a historical perspective is very creative.

JM: One of those stations where I wouldn't mind missing a train.

Halcyon: I'm one of those who didn't really give history a chance back in school so I could certainly use this refresher.

VP: And best of all, not a commercial poster to be seen.

Jacob: In a nutshell!

Thanks all for stopping by again.

I love timelines! That would be sooooo cool in a rail station. Something worth looking at while waiting for your train :-)

And not a single ad - how 'bout that! Thanks, Tinsie.
