Piperska Muren
A statue in the park at the Piperska Muren manor house. Piperska Muren comes from the name of Count Carl Piper, who bought the manor in 1694, and the stone wall (mur) that his wife had built in 1702. Count Piper was an advisor to King Charles XII of Sweden. On this page you can see what it looked like in the old days.others on stockholm piper charles xii

I was a bit surprised to find myself among the statues one day - it was the first time I entered the park. I will definately go back there in the summer time.
His relative Carl Piper lives at Högestad, outside Ystad. That's when he's not in his castle, Christinehof...
The connection to the Swedish Royal family is still strong.
