We're 22 kilometers north of the city and there's something intriguing about the shape of Vallentuna Church. Remember the runestone?

It is a great photograph. Love the sky and the game of light and shadows.

I didn't remember the runestones, but I remember quite well this church and your signature sky.

I hadn't seen the runestone but I have now!

We are so lucky to have a night owl blogger like you to get all these fantastic shots. That sky is really gorgeous!

I love the blue sky together with the church.

Ain't nothing like a good summer night shift.

Luis Gomez: Those intricate shapes and angles make for good shadows too.

VP: This sky was extraordinary so I wouldn't call it signature but thanks anyway...

Halcyon: Night owl? I consider that an honorary title! :)

Lena Johansson: Hopefully we'll pay a visit inside again before long.

History is all around us, folks.

Perfect time for a night photo...when the blue of the sky meets the blue of the earth...

This is even spookier than most churches!

Hi Per - re your comment on Cedar Key DP: Downtown Cedar Key is about 4 blocks long and after about 8 pm there's hardly any critter moving in the streets.

You could open your windows wide and sleep like a baby...so long as you had screens on them to keep out the biting bugs!

It's been a long time now since I last told you about the amazing light you manage to get in your shots! :-) Fantastic!

Next to a lake, on top of a hill... they certainly knew how to pick locations for churches.

Jacob: What triggered me was a change in the weather with the sky clearing up minute by minute.

Tinsie: Thanks. So did I.

JM: Appreciate that. So far this summer, skies haven't been very interesting but this one sure was.

arabesque: It didn't feel eerie at all!

Thanks everyone.
