new dawn, same old town

We're a month from Midsummer and the nights are longer already. But if you find an elevated position and look straight north at midnight you'll still see a touch of blue. The promise of a new dawn approaching. Here's a familiar sight, the Old Town as seen from Slussen a couple of nights ago.

Btw, your comment on the white peacock made me laugh and it was so right on.

Oj, vilket snyggt foto!

I was a bit surprised to find out that it's still not quite dark at midnight. Incidentally, by the term "midnight" I'm referring to the moment half-way between sunset and sunrise. Due to Daylight Savings' Time this occurs roughly at 1AM.

Château-Gontierdailyphoto: I was glad to find some light still around at that hour.

Thanks, Tammy!

Halcyon: I've got more coming up so I'm glad you enjoy them! ;)

babooshka: Thanks. As you've probably figured out by now, this is my time of day. Even more so these weeks when we're in the midst of heat wave.

Appreciate that, JM.

• Eliane • : Haven't seen that film but on this particular day there certainly wasn't any sleep until 6AM!

Distinctly megavocabularistic as always, Coltrane_lives! ;)

Thanks all for commenting!

The digital dated code in the lower right corner is a grand touch.

Such a modern world.

Missing Stockholm very much.
