daily photo theme day: book this day

Books. So many things can be learned from them. In this particular case it's geography that catches this boy's attention. He seems to be totally absorbed by it. Or maybe he just needs a pair of new glasses?

The November theme is "Books". This is the twentieth consecutive month we're participating in the monthly theme of City Daily Photo. 178 members have promised to take part on this day.

A wonderful scene!
As a teacher and as mum of two boys I very well know the difficulty to keep bookreading among our children. The computers are much more fascinating for our kids.
I guess this boy has a geography test very soon and the motivation is in his best level.

Excellent post for theme day.

I forgot about theme day today so I just found some of the books I wrote and took a photo and published that. Too late to be included in the group but it worked for me. LOL

Though I'm not on the list I've posted something about books.
j'ai retrouvé le fantôme d'un Américain non pas à Paris mais à Troyes entre les deux guerres,

An American in Paris, no in Troyes between the Two World war.!

Both, I think. But it's always great to see young ones reading — not too many of them do nowadays. Sad.

Lovely post for theme day!

I'm sitting out this month's theme for once - maybe he needs glasses or maybe not - if he can read close fine like that without then no reason - it is how I read these days - I need glasses for long vision though and a seperate pair for the computer.

Thank you all for commenting. I agree with most of you, it's not very often you see young people reading like that. Mostly they get what they want from the internet these days. Come to think of it - so do I :-)

I agree with Lena...the computers are taking over...so it seems, but I'm glad my kids still love books!

Excellent photo! It's always so encouraging to see young people reading. I worry that they don't do enough of it.

Happy Theme Day!
