Trädgården - the Garden - is a summer club under the bridges between Skanstull and Gullmarsplan. Live music and DJ's, BBQ and drinks. I even saw some guys playing table tennis.

Kalimotxo Cup

On Ascension Thursday the 16th Annual Kalimotxo Cup boule (or pétanque or boccie) tournament was held at Södra Latin school yard. Eighteen players in eight teams battled for almost seven hours before the winning team could claim the victory.

culture, that's me

A provocative bronze pig in Kungsängen. Situated immediately outside the town hall, I'm not sure what it's supposed to symbolize. Things that do come to mind in an election year are "immobility" or even "pork barrel politics". Be that as it may, the sculpture by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd is called "La culture, c'est moi".

acoustic energy (2)

The trio Viskraft ("Ballad Power") was formed a couple of years back by friends studying at the folk music academy Visskolan in Västervik, 190 km south-south-west of Stockholm.

We've already met Emeli Jeremias. Here now is singer-songwriter Dick Pålsson together with Oskar Jeremias, in charge of the bass (while not busy singing or composing).

Construction trailers lined up for all the Bob the builder's that work with the Stockholm Waterfront complex. 12 floors of approximately 2.100 square meters - each filled with congress centre, hotel and offices. Right on top of the Central Railway station where I'm waiting for the morning train to Copenhagen.

everyone should have one

Balconies, balconies, balconies. Oh, you can't count them all.

This is a fairly new and exclusive housing area on what used to be the old Electrolux industrial area on Lilla Essingen island. All balconies makes me think I'm at a tourist resort in Spain, at the Costa del Sol or somewhere, rather than on what once was an old factory ground.
