Nice! I like photographing vegetables. They usually stay in place meanwhile.

A perfect composition and a strange mushroom. The colors are awesome.

Beautifully composed shot! We are having the first rains (and they are heavy - lousy weather in October!) and I found the fisrt mushroom cluster yesterday.

Do you like mushrooms?

Lena Johansson: Fast rätt oansenlig tills jag kröp närmare.

cieldequimper: ...and so they lived happily ever after, mushrooms and all.

Svenske Floyd: I *so* agree with you. Mobile objects are a nuisance.

VP: 'tis a bit strange, isn't it?

arabesque: A mini hat. Don't take my word for it but I'd guess it's not terribly poisonous. Does Lena know?

JM: And there you go. Entire clusters of hats in the vicinity, marking the season, whether we like it or not.

Hats off for readers everywhere!

What a shot...reminds me of a Mexican immigrant working in Florida's fields.

Re your question on Ocala: Nope, never met Dr. Fang...but I first saw that sign almost 6 years ago when we moved to Ocala and have wanted to take a picture of it ever since...finally got the change.

As to whether this one would be edible or not, the jury is still out. Not a clue and I wouldn't try my luck.

Halcyon: As a kid, I was afraid of shrooms. Somewhat hard in retrospect to grasp what would be intimidating about these quiet fellows but I never really trusted them, lurking under trees and in shadowy places! :)

Jacob: Now that's an interesting globalized aspect I didn't think of.

Many thanks.
