Beautifully composed shot! We are having the first rains (and they are heavy - lousy weather in October!) and I found the fisrt mushroom cluster yesterday.

Re your question on Ocala: Nope, never met Dr. Fang...but I first saw that sign almost 6 years ago when we moved to Ocala and have wanted to take a picture of it ever since...finally got the change.
As to whether this one would be edible or not, the jury is still out. Not a clue and I wouldn't try my luck.
Halcyon: As a kid, I was afraid of shrooms. Somewhat hard in retrospect to grasp what would be intimidating about these quiet fellows but I never really trusted them, lurking under trees and in shadowy places! :)
