On average, yes. I think we have more McDonald’s restaurants for a given population than many other countries. I for one have skipped the fries but I certainly don't mind a burger. Or two... :)
Historic note: Five years before McDonald's came invading this Nordic country our own hamburger chain Max opened in in Gällivare in the extreme north. This was in 1968.
