#1001 the Great Church

Slowly we are walking home after the celebrating #1000. The city, some parts go back to the thirteenth century, that we love and show every day is starting to tuck in. Storkyrkan - The Great Church - raises itself over the Old Town. The church, first mentioned in writing in 1279, is today the cathedral of Stockholm. Some things don't change. This is post #1001 and counting.

Yes, we have shown Storkyrkan before. See also Wikipedia.

Superb perspective with the church illuminated at the end of the dark alley. I tried the same angle 19 December 2005
but this is so much better as you moved in closer and skipped a lot of irrelevant foreground. And the blue sky is gorgeous.

Tack Lena! Vad underbart uttryckt: "älska Stockholm mer för varje pixel"!

Per: It's like a photographer - I can't remember his name, he is Polish - is said to have answered to the question how to take better photos: "Leave the telephoto lens behind and get closer." I think he would have liked to get even closer. Now, let's find some human beings in this great city!
