#1005 be a square in Alvik

previously on pixels

Pressbyrån is a chain of convenience stores which might be difficult to find in some countries. Rather than visiting separate stores to obtain your newspaper, your banana and your soft drink, you will find it all under one roof. Here is Alvik Square with Pressbyrån to the left and a couple of letterboxes (blue for local mail, yellow for the rest) in the foreground.

It isn't as famous as IKEA, I guess.

Two convenience store chains are nation wide in Sweden: Pressbyrån and Seven Eleven. Interestingly enough they are both owned by the Norwegian Reitan Servicehandel AS. Franchised, but still Reitan.

You're so right, Deslilas! How could I forget? Must be because it's Sunday and they are closed.

Pressbyrån is world famous throughout Sweden, I suppose, Ming(tm). You're so right, it's a domestic thing.

Peter & Deslilas: Can you recall when you last encountered a Seven Eleven with just those opening hours: 7-23?

Thanks guys for stopping by. We'll pay another visit to Alvik next week.
