The Royal Institute of Technology offers an impressive electronic library. Searching databases, articles and e-journals is only a keyboard away for those with a library account. There is however a real KTH Library as well at Osquars backe. What a great image! The glowing books look wonderful to me. The new white ceiling is a trifle odd though. In the daytime the light through the clerestory windows must be very nice. A challenge to photograph, I imagine.

Yes it is a great shot, I love the different colours and textures and the light on he tree.
That is my kind of place. And a very interesting photo. It must be the way the light hits the books that makes them glow like that.
It so happens that I'm in the midst of a University project together with a team from KTH. Since we're all attending courses in the suburb Kista we never meet right here at Osquars backe like perhaps we should.

cieldequimper: Given the fact that most students are entirely computerized on their own these days, I guess it's not quite as crowed in here like it used to be.
Jacob: I couldn't decide on whether I should skip the ceiling and go for more of those books but that'd have to be some other time.

According to well informed sources, this is in fact an olive tree.

Unfortunately, faculties have been scattered throughout the city. I wonder what it'd be like to have one major campus with a Mega Library. Thanks, humanobserver.
