water week: Kastellholmen
Kastellholmen ("castellum islet") in the immediate centre of Stockholm. Ever since the mid 1660s the flag on the castellum has been hoisted every day telling that Sweden is still a free and independent nation. In the old days this was a part of Stockholm's fortification. Here is a close-up of the castellum.
