let them eat cake !
Whether you're short on bread or that sweeter stuff, rest assured that Café Petit Four in Väsby centrum has plenty on offer. However, this particular item has been on display for years so I wouldn't start chewing on it anytime soon.

I always wondered if these items are real pastry or not...
Perfect match for my Monday picture
Hope the marriage lasts longer than the cake.
I didn't think Europeans had "American" style wedding cakes like this. I know in France it's always a piece montee, which I don't like at all!
Fantastic composition! Great background for the cake!
It's been said that we tend to consume more sweet stuff during economic downturns so I imagine they're doing pretty well these days.
Vogon Poet: So did I but local staff enlightened me. I really should have been able to figure this out by myself since the object in question obviously isn't stored in a cool place...
Mo: I agree. Tell her to stop by anytime!
B Squared: In principle, yes. Mind you, the cake is rather old too...
Halcyon: I don't suppose they sell many of these and maybe that's why they wanted to do at least one.
JM: Thanks! I wonder what a typical Portuguese version would look like...
Always happy to welcome pastry chefs near and far!
hummmm beautiful (and probably delicious) wedding cake!!
I think that cake has lasted longer than many marriages!
For a minute, I thought you had gotten married.
Nice looking cake but probably not too edible at this time.
Qu'ils mangent de la brioche. (; I like the DoF in this one. Nice shot!
Isn't there a touch of Franck Eggelhoffer to all of this?
Paty: More of a feast for the eyes, I'd say...
Jacob: A persistent cake!
Buenos Aires Photoblog: I'm still playing around with that DoF. Until recently, I didn't have the tools for doing so.
Thanks all.
