a resounding cathedral
The main organ in Storkyrkan ("the Great Church") is all mechanical. So don't forget to exercise and mind those toe pedals!

Marvellous shot!
I always liked to sneek inside a church where someone is exercising, usually in the evening, ofen in a desert church.
It's gorgeous, I wish we could hear it!
Beautiful! Have you heard the organ play?
This shot is just fantastic! It looks like a gorgeous stage for a surely great performance.
'tis the season for Christmas concerts of course. One could probably find and enjoy a new one every single day in December.
Svenske Floyd: Thanks. The organ isn't that bad either... ;)
Vogon Poet: I agree. Opening hours in this particular church are somewhat limited so it's kind of unusual to have it all to yourself but I know the feeling. Those are some of my best music memories too.
cieldequimper: You can catch a brief soundclip (and some more views) right here.
Halcyon: I have. It's a great instrument, at least as far as a layman can tell.
JM: Glad you like it too!
Good to have you all stopping by.
haha,^0^
wow, very dramatic shot.
I bet when the choir begins to sing accompanied with the piano... it's in perfect pitch...
tis the season!
tralalala...
Very impressive!
The church is situated next to Stockholm Castle so there's a lot around here to keep a tourist busy.
arabesque: In fact, there was a choir rehearsing when I snapped these photos.
Tinsie: I bet they did that on purpose...
Many thanks.
