As long as they have fun at it.
I think hobbies/interests are good for everyone. Life doesn't hold much meaning if you don't have something to work towards.
You betcha! And some parents become rabid fanatics - you oughta see our Little League baseball games.
I was wondering what kind of surface that is they are playing on...

@ Jacob - You are right about the parents.
@Jacob: I think I read somewhere that a referee in kids soccer or ice hockey or something gave a parent a red card and showed him out.
It's a standard gravel field.
