to readers, guest photographers and co-authors, thanks for five exciting years of pixels !

That is what is produced here. This is a power plant in
Södertälje, which delivers environmental friendly power. About 80% of the fuel used is of recycled biological or fossil origin. Minimal use of oil and coal is the concept.

Another one of those organ pics. This one is from Boo Church. Notice the nicely put stained glass window and how it fits right into "U" of the organ, which was built in 1989.

The Globe arena as seen from Götgatan. As we have noted before, the Globe is the world's largest spherical building. If you look very closely, you should see a small ball on top of the big ball. That's our newest attraction, a gondola made of glass that takes you up along the outside.

Showtime at
Solna konståkning (Solna Figure Skating Club). These kids are so talented. They move with the greatest of ease over the slippery surface, in sync with each other and with the music.

A house like that should definitely be on the top of the hill looking down at the common people's houses.

A winter picnic. On a table made of snow we find blueberries soup, bananas, biscuits and snacks. The grill is brought out for any barbecue desires.

Monteliusvägen is a new walking path with a splendid view of
Lake Mälaren. Behold a changing city and a
tunnel-to-be.

A rather odd looking street lamp in
Huddinge. From this angle and in this closeup, it's almost a little frightening.

Not so easy to mimic a sound in writing but I think you get the point. This wolf is carved out of ice from
Jukkasjärvi where the famous Ice Hotel is built every year. A few blocks of the very same ice were transported to
Skansen.

19 km north-west of the city and with some 12000 residents,
Kallhäll is part of
Järfälla Municipality. The old-style outdoor shopping center (out of view here, to the left) is rather worn and gloomy. In the background are more recent buildings along Källtorpsvägen, symbolically highlighted by the afternoon sun. And then there's an old tree which has seen architectural styles come and go.

Snow in all shapes and sizes. Behind
piles of snow, lumps of snow being plowed off the motorway have rolled down making these tracks in... snow, of course!

After decades of inter-municipal squabbling, the old winding railroad to
Kungsängen was finally replaced in 2001. Part of the project was crossing the strait
Almarestäket. You have already seen this bridge
from below and - as usual - there's more
over here.

Situated 19 km east of the city center,

Living in the modern age, we no longer have
swords hanging directly over our heads by a single horse-hair. Far from it! How about a
block of snow and ice slowly melting in the sun and ready to slide off the roof any minute?

Ice on Årstaviken ("Årsta Bay") and people get an urge to go out walking on water. The old mill in the background - Skanskvarn at Gullmarsplan - is now a restaurant. The mill was closed in 1882 and is registered at paranormal.se as being haunted by the friendly ghost Linda.

In

It's a bit surprising when you walk on a snow-free pavement and then suddenly see heaps of it. This snow has been shoveled down from a roof.

...is this (somewhat different) feathered squad (to steal Per's expression). I've been observing them for a few days, eagerly waiting for some blue sky. These are
Bohemian Waxwings.
