modular modelers
Railway modeling is a hobby you can grow with. And not just literally. There's so much to learn and at some point it becomes an art form. Modular railroading take this one step further. You design your own section or module of a landscape and then you meet up with fellow modular modelers to interconnect and collaborate. The net effect is... mesmerizing! This was after-hours when the public exhibition had closed for the day. Time for relaxation and for envisioning the design of new modules...

I've known some model railroaders and they put lots of money and many hours into their hobby! I've not heard of this modular thing, though. That would be another whole hobby by itself!
They certainly look very engrossed. I guess railway modelling is a serious business.
I did ask but we were not able to recapitulate precisely what this concentrated moment was all about.
Jacob: One could probably spend infinite sums on arriving at the perfect landscape model. And time. Hour upon hour. Then again, I guess one is never done with any good hobby.
Tinsie: Very popular too. The museum attracts lots of visitors on these particular weekends.
