If you want something extra for your ceiling, take a look in the departure hall of Terminal 5 at Arlanda Airport. There's some serious stuff hanging around up there. After all, they don't call it a Sky City for nothing. See more?

going to Sahara ?

Found these gas canisters on top of one of the "pink caravan"-buses that was parked in Kungsträdgården. There's no doubt where this bus is going. Care to hop on?

a work of art

On the roof of Kulturhuset (the Culture House) there are 768 homes as well as a playground for birds. Eric Ericson is the artist behind the project of multi storey bird homes. I have never seen a bird there, or a photo of a bird moving in or out or just hanging around. You can follow the (non) traffic via video link.

new dawn, same old town

We're a month from Midsummer and the nights are longer already. But if you find an elevated position and look straight north at midnight you'll still see a touch of blue. The promise of a new dawn approaching. Here's a familiar sight, the Old Town as seen from Slussen a couple of nights ago.

water from "high above us"

I promised a followup from this and here it is. A very exciting sky adds to the mystery. What is it? A twister? No, it's the water falling down from the fountain. The pic is taken against the light, and day suddenly turns almost into night. You may recall Per's "ferry". It's taken at the same spot and time.

a ship comes loaded ...

Another of those large ships entering Stockholm as seen from Blockhusudden. In the old days this was a fortified part of the defense of Stockholm. Nowadays we find a café with a whining owner here. But they do have a smashing view.

A view of the much photographed Sergels torg in the immediate city centre. Yes, it's our favourite balloonist Peter H who has released a few new photos for us. More to come ...
