#1004 cemetery time (2)
There are not only gravestones and massive grave chambers at the Northern Cemetery. Every now and then you can see some "lighter" monuments. This is in memory of Betty Pettersson, Sweden's first female student (1871). There is also a beautiful stone over one of the victims in the tsunami 2004, which I choose not to show though. Those of you who visit this cemetery will find it. It's all blue and in the shape of a wave. Very nice stone. It made me stop and think for a while, how we often take life for granted, and how quickly it can be taken away...

Very interesting gravestone. So different.
P.S. Congrats on your 1000 plus photo posts. I look forward to returning to look at everyone's top 20 picks at my leisure.

So true! Life is fleeting.
Cool photo.
Interesting. Never heard of Betty, but I have a photo of Fredrika Bremer's gravestone.
