constructivism in fisksätra
Art in public places can be inconspicuous, minimalistic. A blink of the eye and you'd have missed it. ”Arkitekta Skulpturum” by Bertil Herlov Svensson does not fall into this category. This eight meter high aluminum sculpture in Fisksätra is an impressive statement. So, what does it tell us?

Climb into the vortex.
Wow! This is great, Per! Gorgeous shot!
I bet you are right about the angels conversation! :-)
Very interesting, to say the least...eye-catching, too. Big, also. Hmmm.
He's telling us that life is really screwed up and the only way we can unscrew things it to make sure all the wires are connected.
Yes?
Almost like an optical illusion.
I'm sorry about the boring light but that's what we had to work with on our recent team stroll in Nacka and I suppose one should appreciate the additional challenge.
Halcyon: Right you are! I like it too.
cieldequimper: Rotating, swirling, why not?
JM: Thanks. This is what angels might want to go see when they have an evening off from that local façade of yours... ;)
Jacob: Very good. I'm by no means an art expert but as I understand it constructivism is all about using every-day construction components and putting them together in new ways.
B Squared: Best enjoyed, feet firmly on the ground!
Thanks all.
It is very interesting! Great idea - very creative!
Jättespännande! Den vill jag se IRL!
Wow! I can't miss this, too. Very interesting.

This is so funky.
The sculpture was erected in 1975.
m_m: Also very practical, I guess. This kind of sculpture should be able to withstand our climate for quite a while.
Lena Johansson: Saltsjöbanan till Fisksätra och tre minuters promenad genom centrum. Den är svår att missa...
Paz: Good to hear from you! Are there any eight meter sculptures in your neighborhood?
Babooshka: From the funky Seventies...
Thanks all for taking the time to comment.
Not sure what it tells us, but it looks pretty impressive. You wouldn't not notice it, would you?
According to once source, this is a hoop net. Now is the time to object for those of you who know anything about fishing! (I don't.)
Thanks, Tinsie!
