from baghdad to upplands väsby

Half way between the city and Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, the hotel Scandic Infra City tries to tempt us with a large indoor garden. There's quite a bit of green outside as well. Incidentally, this is where a U.N. conference on Iraq took place in May.

Det är något särskilt med hotellentréer, ett koncentrat av resandets magi. Tycker att du fångat den känslan bra här. Jag får lust att kliva in och ta en drink i baren! ;o)

Hey, do those trees have stars in them? Geez, only in Stockholm to the stars leap from the heavens into one's very own neighborhood. Next you'll be showing us leprauchans. Way to go, man!

That must have been quite a commotion.
I like the lobby, all in glass. Is the façade blue? Or is it something temporary?

Hotels are rapidly being established or expanded in and around Stockholm. The trend is positive, there is a fairly steady increase in the numbers of visitors.

himmelochord: Tack! Som oförvägen korrespondent borde man såklart kliva in en dag och pröva.

Coltrane_lives: You know us, we'd do anything to spray some stardust onto our visitors... ;)

• Eliane •: Good question. At first I explained about the façade in my text, then I thought it got too long and removed that part. So, yes, it's all in glass. I was out trying to capture the blue night sky (as always) and this time it got reflected in a hotel façade.

Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate your comments.
