Oh I saw that splendid steeple on the portal thumbnails and recognised it immediately.
Love the juxtaposition with the lamp even without the helicopter (our abbreviation would be "heli" - your "helo" confused me for a moment)
I love this shot! I took a photo of a steeple a long time ago, which I really like but never posted. Your photo inspires me to post it. LOL! The helicopter does look like it's about to crash into the steeple. I'm glad it's just an illusion.

Hi, I also have a photoblog about Montreal. You have beautiful pictures and I'll keep coming back:)
Sometimes things in life just come into alignment. I love it when this happens. Cheers!
Too bad the church is never open. Well, almost never.
Certainly an impressive steeple.
I love these kinds of "trick" photos. My question is, where were you at the time? Must have been someplace high up!
ackworth_born: Sorry for the confusion. I could have sworn it was helo....
paz: The helicopter is no illusion. It's really there, but I get your point.
coltrane_lives: I do too. Sometimes they just pop up, and sometimes you look in vain for them.
per_stromsjo: I don't think I've ever been inside it. Maybe time to do something about it, but if the open hours are as bad as you state, then I guess the visit will have to be well planned.
halcyon: Actually standing on the embankment. The lamppost is not that big, and the steeple is on the other side of the water. So the perspective is the thing playing tricks here.
Hi Bernt: I'm glad you knew what I meant. I know the helicopter is real. I meant the illusion that the helicopter was going to crash into the steeple. Again, great shot.

Love this photo. The are two very different structures against a beautiful blue sky.
