a very merry central station

Since our weather is actively encouraging indoor activities these days, here's a view from Stockholm Central Station. Winter or no winter, the good folks at Jernhusen are wishing us a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season.

Not familiar with this place but it looks like an indoor shopping mall? The gold stars make for a nice holiday atmosphere. Bad weather your way? Here it's raining and raining but unusually warm. Guess we have nothing to fuss about right?

No no ... I can see the departure boards on the wall ... this sort of Christmas decoration leaves me a little cold though as it is very sterile. I find the station much more interesting ...

Great composition! It looks like a nice place to wait for the train.

There's a talking Christmas tree as well with recorded greetings in various languages...

Virginia: We have nothing to fuss about, that's for sure.

Julie: I'll show you more of the station itself so stay tuned for that. Lots of tradition in that building.

JM: Appreciate your support. This is indeed a nice place when you have to wait for your train.

Now let's all enjoy the season and skip some of that unnecessary shopping, right?

Love the composition with the main image off to the and lovely warm golden tones.

I've thought about taking a pic of this "tree" for "ages", but I find that the Jernhusen tag on it just spoils what could otherwise be quite a pretty adornment. Though this is a nice capture with an interesting angle just anyway:)

Babooshka: I wanted to include the arrivals/departures display as well and I guess it worked out quite well.

Pia K: Thanks, we've got one or two additional photos coming up from the very same station.
