word processing in Storkyrkan

Storkyrkan is known as The Great Church. The pulpit, here seen from below and created by Burchardt Precht in 1680, isn't half bad either. He was also the man behind this.

I'm sure that loudspeaker it there for a reason but it really doesn't belong in this picture, methinks.

Vogon Poet: Gotta agree.

Leif Hagen: Appreciate that. Yes, do find some time to step inside.

B Squared: They don't make'em like this anymore.

Halcyon: Thanks, I did like this angle. After all, why do I keep dragging a tripod around? :)

cieldequimper: I was wondering - with this wealth of artistic decorations, however could anyone concentrate on what's said from up there?

Thanks everyone!

Incredible. I checked out the other photo and that's even more incredible.

I understand that they built the pulpits up high - so the preacher would be 10-12 feet above criticism!

There will be more from Storkyrkan on plenty - right here.

Jacob: ...or so that anyone could hear what was said.... The acoustics in here isn't particularly functional for speech.

JM: I tried to get that ceiling into all sorts of shots and this one did turn out pretty well.

Tinsie: Thanks.

arabesque: Angles on those angels... :)

Again, thanks all.
