Backyards in Stockholm's South (Södermalm). A couple of generations back these where dark and gloomy places with lavatories in the yard. The backyard was the natural playground to the richness of children living there but also scene to a social life among neighbours.
This part of the city was mainly inhabited by the working class but is now as fashionable as the other parts of central Stockholm with its share of trendy places, restaurants and bars.

Heehee, they're cute from this height and angle! They remind me of those little hotel pieces in Monopoly. ;D
I love your perspective on these wonderful buildings!! Love this photo!! God dag!
Obviously, the balloon offers a different and fascinating perspective. But it's also real good photography. Thanks for sharing this series with us, Peter H!

Photo taken from a baloon? I've never had such an experience...

You guys really give inspiring comments.
What I like about the photo is to imagine each window as a separate world with its own stories. Inhabitants living, loving, crying and hoping just like in any other place in the world. Wouldn’t it be exciting if one could get to see behind those walls?
Beautiful photo!!
I swear, one of you guys must be a bird because I keep seeing photos from high above.
Either that or one of you is Superman or someone who can fly.
