The crypt option was much more interesting... without angry ghosts.

No, I didn't dare to look in so I didn't see any ghosts, angry or otherwise. It's a thought though, a garage with an angry ghost. No one would dare to park there.
Car park crypt. Sounds exhausting! Will it go all the way under the church? Everyone could honk if they love Jesus.
Many years indeed - I used to work there (back in the old century), and I remember the debating about the carpark-building. So they finally came to a decision, huh...! Good for them - maybe not so good for the poor ppl still working up there on the hill!
And they do usually name parking-buildings, don't there? So why not? P-huset Kryptan it is! ;)
