Meg in Nelson: Yep, there are five towers. I’ve visited a couple of them over the years. One for a meeting and another for several doctor’s appointments.
Ming_the_Merciless, Steve Buser: I should point out that this expression ”spam scrapers” is entirely internal to this blog team. There’s nothing wrong with these buildings, we just grew tired of them always appearing in our photographs so we started a joke about this... :)
You do a GREAT job with your blog...I would hate to intrude upon it. However, if you're asking...a city's jazz scene and the popularity (or not)of it is one of my curiosities whenever I travel. Thanks for your photos and narratives. Tres magnifique!

I guess "spam" isn't just a food item or something visiting and bothering one's computer anymore! :-)
And Pepsi, of course. Google says the first tower was built in 1959, and that you have five of them - they do look like spams.
I grew up eating a lot of spam.
And I can see why you call them the spam building.
I enjoyed reflecting on you spam problem.

I won’t make any promises we might not be able to keep but thanks a lot, Coltrane_lives, for the suggestion (and for your kind words).
Great definition for those buildings. They really spam the city...
A mere half century ago, they were considered tall and proud examples of modern architecture.
Thanks, Pusat.
