Skärholmen shopping centre. As I understand it people from the audience could step upon the stage and be taken care of. I don't know what drives people. I wouldn't do it. On the other hand, I don't use make-up.

A close-up of the beautiful railway station
Östra station (East station). From here the
Roslagsbanan commuter trains take you to the coastal areas of the Uppland province (known as Roslagen).
This is a sculpture "Off Hunting (for Sorrows)" by
Christian-Pontus Andersson. Bodies of porcelain symbolize the transition of our old, worn-out bodies on the way to Paradise. It's all part of that big art exhibition known as the Stockholm Subway.

Riksbank, Sweden's central bank, is considered to be the oldest central bank in the world and was founded in 1668. They moved to their present address at
Brukebergstorg in 1976. The impressive black granite building can be seen in the left hand side of the picture. And on
this recent photo as well.
Shopping possibilities are somewhat limited around
Nockeby Square. Here's the entrance to the local grocery, Engströms. This
Royal Warrant Holder is open seven days a week.
A lovely little French café at Street. We used to have a car like that - a Peugeot 404 - when I was a kid. It was a lovely car. The 404 was, and in some countries is still, popular as a taxicab due to its reputation for robustness. A few years ago I was certain I would end my life in such a cab in East Africa.

No, we are not back in the
balloon. This is the magnificent view from a balcony in
Nybohov just south of Stockholm City centre. The older houses on the left are the resident area
Gröndal, the brown houses in the middle are
Reimersholme and to the right are a part of
Liljeholmen. The lonely tall building in the middle is the office of the major Swedish daily
Dagens Nyheter and its evening sister
Expressen.
Nockeby is an idyllic part of Bromma borough, west of the city. A tram from
Alvik is arriving at
Nockeby Square, in front of "the Bullfinch Pharmacy" (Apoteket Domherren).
The subway station
Solna centrum was opened in 1975. Artists Karl-Olov Björk and Anders Åberg helped create this fascinating red cave, 30 meters below ground level and not far from the national football stadium
Råsunda.

Danvik Bridge is a
bascule bridge. It has a counterweight balancing the span which can be swung upwards to the benefit of boats that otherwise would be unable to pass under the bridge. This is where South Central (Södermalm) ends and the municipality Nacka begins.

St Jacob church beds are lined up as part of the performance installation
Nattpass (Night watch). It is ok for anyone to spend the night in a bed in the church - they even give you a toothbrush and a piece of soap. You get to sleep till seven o'clock in the morning.

Yeah, right, but where to? There'a a lot of rail, but none to be used. These are probably waiting to replace some worn out tracks somewhere else.

Rigid-inflatable boats (RIB) propelled by outboard motors offer a noisy alternative for tourists who want to catch a glimpse of the archipelago without spending too much time. This particular service is available from May to September. In the background, the

Not unlike
Mörby centrum,
Solna centrum subway station offers its own line up. Several of them, in fact. Having taken subway line #11 here and found a properly directed line upwards, travelers might as well form a neat line themselves to ascend from the platform in due order. Last in line, snap a photo please!
Seating is being prepared for a coming parade outside the Royal Castle
Could have been. But isn't. It's a lamp-post (of course), standing outside the theatre
Dramaten. But then again... you never know...
I'm beginning to like the looks of the organ in our
Concert Hall so here it is again, snapped during an intermission. The organ is a fairly recent addition (1982) to this
Blue House from 1926.

Sweden and lions go hand in hand, you find them everywhere: sculptures, coats of arms, buildings,
trash cans ... This is an especially peaceful apple eating lion found on
Kungsholmen.
I'm not sure that this - an escalator with very long fluorescent lamps - is what
The Red Hot Chili Peppers had in mind when they wrote the song "Green Heaven". The song was on their self-titled debut album released in 1984, an album "generally accepted as being a critical and commercial failure" according to our friends at
Wikipedia.
