daily photo theme day: marathon feet
With 18,736 pairs of feet running the 42.195 kilometres long marathon run in Stockholm on 30 May, it was again a record number of participants. The ladies winner, Isabellah Andersson from Sweden, completed the run in 2.33.52 while the male winner, Paul Kipkemei Kogo from Kenya, did the distance in 2.15.35.

Tro det eller inte, jag sprang där för 17 år sedan. Sen blev jag mamma för andra gången och har inte gjort om prestationen. Jag minns att jag hade feber i mål och magen mådde inte så bra. Jag blir lika glad varje år jag ser loppet.

Thank you all! It's easy to do a 'foot shot' when the good people of Stockholm organises a marathon just the day before theme day.
I would like to point out that the Kenyans did it twofold this time. Isabellah Andersson was born in Kenya and became a Swedish citizen only this year. I had the fortune to spend four years in Kenya in the seventies. An amazing country. And amazingly good runners.
@Jilly: It was with fear for my own life I got that close :o) A millisecond after that shot they were passing me.
@cieldequimper: Here effortless yes. But this is the downside of the Västerbron bridge. They have just climbed some 25 meters.
