Kastellholmen ('castellum islet'). The flag is up, so we are still an independent nation. Well, three cheers for that!

A wonderful classic summerpicture from Stockholm!
What strikes me most about Ile du Fort is how dull the place is, although it is in the middle of the city. A private boat club, some offices of small companies and organisations, and the brig "Tre Kronor" which is sometimes open for visit, that is all.
Nothing could be finer.
Funny comment, I laughed out loud.
And I love the photo! What a gorgeous place!
I can find peace there.
@Svenske Floyd: I do agree. Maybe it's like humanobserver says - go there to find peace - is the thing.
The abundance of water is a particular relief in the kind of heat wave we've been having during the recent week. No matter how ghastly (or heavenly - opinions tend to differ) temperatures we have, the proximity to water is a blessing.
