daily photo theme day: is this really Stockholm?
Not really sure what city this might be. Somewhere in Scotland perhaps? But, no. It's actually Stockholm in disguise. Taken a few years ago during the Quarneval arranged by the Royal Institute of Technology every third year. .Häpp, var är vi? I play the bagpipe myself in the only Norwegian bagpipe band (that counts, haha) so this is really cool!

Great photo! Happy Theme Day from Maui! Bet ya would never guess my photo is on Maui! We even have bagpipers and Celts here too!
We have a Scottish festival each year complete with bagpipes. I have to work at developing an appreciation for the sound.
denton: You're right. Most things can be enjoyed in moderate proportions though. In this case it was part of a parade, and I could choose to listen or not.

There are a lot of things from Scotland used outside of Scotland. Think whisky :-)
