the feathered squad (3)

Here is the boss of the feathered squad. Guthrie Gull may well believe he runs the show but someone has to elaborate strategies, contemplate alternatives and intervene in times of uncertainty. Meet Jackie Jackdaw.

Från Fågelguiden:
"...ofta pratar fåglarna lågmält i munnen på varandra, när de sitter på en skorsten och vänslas"

Jag undrar vad de säger? :-)

TACK SÅ MYCKET = THANK YOU VERY MUCH

The bird hasn't a very kind eye...

Looks like an enforcer.

He looks a little evil.

There's been so much rain lately that I took down my birdcam for awhile. Hopefully the sun will shine this week! But I still have lots of stock photos to come.

That eye is truly scary!

It's worth noting that he approached me, not the other way round. Camera in hand, I was leaning against a stone wall waiting for something interesting to happen when Jackie landed on the wall and walked up to me.

Lena Johansson: Precis vad jag trott, de sorlar som vi i väntan på något kul!

Vogon Poet: Now that you mention it...

B Squared: Jackie Jackdaw is the executive type. He's used to calling the shots.

Halcyon: You know, all that responsibility... That birdcam has been an interesting project to follow.

Tinsie: I'll have a word with him! ;)

Thanks all for sharing a bit of feather touch with us.

Ohhh! Ahhh! Love this bird portrait. Very cool that he walked up to you. He must have known deep down that you'd make him famous. ;-)

We'll surely find an opportunity to revisit the feathered squad later on.

m_m: Thanks!

Jacob: Not entirely sure I agree that it's so scary but evidently I'm in the minority on this issue... :)

Paz: Fifteen minutes of global fame coming up for the owner of these feathers!

Thanks all.
