one city through our lenses

Roslagsbanan is a popular old urban rail system. In a peaceful referendum 1980 the good citizens of Täby and Vallentuna even overturned a decision by the local transport authorities to have this line replaced by buses and an extended subway network.

I agree with them because I really hate buses. Local trains are more friendly toward some kind of social life for the commuters.
Power to the people
Doesn't look crowded. I agree with Mo. Let the people decide what they want not what the government tells them they need.
Incidentally Sweden held a national referendum about nuclear power production on the very same date, 23 March 1980.
Vogon Poet: Me too, I'm all for trains!
Mo: Local referenda aren't particularly frequent in Sweden but there's room for them in our constitution and they do occur.
B Squared: Not at all crowded. This was taken at the end of our predominant vacation period.
Glad to share a slice of Täby with all of you.
Hey, the will of the people is what it's all about. Usually. Unless they're really stupid like so many Americans these days!
Sorry about that.
No, I'm not. It's true.
Well Jacob, last time I checked there were still queues of people wanting to get into your country, not out of it. So you've got to be doing something right...
Thanks for stopping by! :)
