out sailing

text & photo: Petra Edvardsson

A German sailing boat - GER 4929 - is passing the lighthouse Rödlöga on its way to Möja in the Stockholm archipelago. The wind is 8 metres per second. Click on the map link to see where we are.

Beutiful image, I flatly envy this opportunity: here is practically impossible to shoot any sailboat.
They sail only far outside the port to not interfere with its traffic and are lost for us landbound photographers.

You have to get out on a boat yourself then Vogon Poet! Are there a lot of sailing boats in your neighbourhood?

I think we have a joint way of thinking today! Although my boat scene is considerably calmer.

Lovely shot, great light, even the movement is nice. You are so lucky to have the sea almost in the city. Have a great weekend!

I leave sailboating to sailors. But, I do like to photograph sailboats.

Nicely done; certainly gives a dramatic sense of motion.
