help me down! (no, not THAT way!!)

The things we do for photography. Not in my wildest dreams... but I suppose it would make a splashing photo! We're back in the swimming complex, looking at the world from the 3-meter springboard in Sollentuna simhall.

This was very good! Watch your steps!

Great shot! Good thing you had your camera to blame for why you didn't dive in from up there...! ;-)

(I did jump from 3 metres once... I was about 10-11 and couldn't bring myself to show how chicken I was in front of all the others. I spent the whole nano-second in mid-air screaming for my life swearing NEVER to do it again. And I never have!)

Rather you than me, is all I'm saying!

Let me down the stairs, please…

I don't think your camera would like coming down the other way!

At the risk of stating the obvious, I should point out that I had been permitted to take photos on this occasion. By default, photography is not allowed of course in such a place.

Vogon Poet: Trust me - I did.

Jenny: Having a good excuse handy is a matter of careful planning! ;)

Tinsie: Rather none of us, if you ask me.

Hilda: That precise thought was echoing through my head...

Halcyon: Most likely not but the final shot could have been something special.

Thanks all for sharing this moment at the springboard. I'm not much for heights and those few swimmers who were around when I climbed up there must have noticed that this guy is not exactly at his home turf - to put it mildly...

Ah, jeez, you could do that easily. Just hand your camera off to a friend and dive. In a couple of seconds its all over, and you drown. No, no, no. That's not what I planned to say. You just pop up to the surface, and smile at the applause as you casually swim to the ladder.

Then you get your camera and go home and have a couple belts of Absolut!

See, wasn't that easy?

LOL! Great perspective!

A week from now this will be a crowded place. People tend to recall the virtue of exercising when they've munched down the last bits from the Xmas table.

cieldequimper: You bet!

arabesque: Not quite on the verge but at least from the right altitude...

Jacob: Darn, I wish I had thought of that! My team of merry assistants would gladly have... assisted.

JM: Somewhat original, at least.

Again, thanks all.
