wintry philosophy

Snow is a type of precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes that fall from clouds. (Wikipedia)

Now, whether we like to contemplate that multitude of crystalline precipitations or just admire the beautiful landscape remains our choice. Either way, Sundbyberg is as good a place as any to get you started along the line of wintry philosophy. See more?

Father Frost no doubt has a certain sense of aesthetics.

Gunn White: Appreciate that.

Vogon Poet: Ain't no place like home...

Svenske Floyd: I guess it was worthwhile having my fingers turn cold and numb on that day.

cieldequimper: In this case, meditating was a matter of some urgency. All it takes is slightly warmer weather and - voilà! - today has been a wet misery.

J: Glad you like it too.

Thanks all for freezing with us in the snow.

Incidentally we'll have more water for you tomorrow. After yesterday's skating and today's snow droves, next we'll be heading for warmer surroundings.

Wow, beautiful shot. Great composition and a wonderful light. One of the best I've seen in a while.

It's all a matter of wind directions. Prevailing winds from the north has given us a few weeks of solid winter already.

Bernt Seipl: Hare tracks would have been spiffy.

Halcyon: Also, a snowy landscape is a quiet landscape.

Lena Johansson: Jag tror nog många ser men alla släpar inte runt på en kamera... :)

Tinsie: Thanks!

Alexander: Whatever place or season we're dealing with - that's our raw material: light and shadows.

JM: If you were able to catch this kind of view, the weather system would have derailed entirely - so let's hope you can't! :)

Andreea: Appreciate that.

Again, thanks all.
